Who do you match? UNISON has launched a new light-hearted web app that allows you to swipe left or right and share your thoughts on some of the key issues at the heart of the 2015 general election campaign.

Votr 2015 – available at http://votr2015.org.uk – takes its inspiration from popular dating app Tinder. It is a quick, easy-to-use and, above all, fun way of seeing how your views match those of other potential voters in different parts of the UK.
And it is an important part of UNISON’s election communications campaign.
By using Votr 2015, members will quickly let us know their views on a number of issues that UNISON is campaigning on – and some that we aren’t.
We will be contacting these members to highlight where UNISON’s position matches theirs. We also want to share our understanding of where the political parties stand on these issues.
But it’s not just for union members. Votr 2015 is aimed at anyone of voting age and we hope it will inject an element of non-partisan fun into the campaign.
As general secretary Dave Prentis says: “Votr 2015 is an attempt to break the mould of traditional union communications by starting digital conversations with our members and the wider public on the issues they care about.”
You can swipe left or right on your smart phone to share your views on a range of topics, including tax and the NHS, who should run local schools, the number of bobbies on the beat, and pedestrians and their mobile phones.
As you move through the issues, you will be presented with a series of matches, to see how your views compare with others who have already used the app.
Will your ideal electoral match be a 51-year-old fan of cats from Glasgow, a 24-year-old dog lover from Loughton, or someone completely different?
