UNISON’s conference called on the union this morning to increase its work on mental health awareness.
A speaker from Southwark told delegates that “one in four of us will be affected by mental health” issues.
“It’s time the myths and stigma around this issue were dispelled”, she continued.
And delegates heard that the problem was increasing as workloads increased and workforces reduced.
“Let’s not forget about this when we go back to our branches,” pleaded the mover.
