UNISON has a long, proud association with Ruskin College and we encourage our activists to join the many others who have enrolled on either the college’s BA or MA international labour and trade union studies programmes.
Members who are interested in these courses can also apply for financial support towards course fees from the union.
Assistant West Midlands convenor Jenny Forbes, who is an MA student, said that the course “has enabled me to use my experience as an activist and the opportunity to study with colleagues interested in the movement.”
UNISON NEC member Liz Cameron, who is studying for a BA through the scheme, noted: “Being accepted to this course was an achievement in itself, completing it will be life changing.”
If you are interested in discussing either the BA or MA, or attending an open day, please contact the relevant Ruskin staff:
For MA or BA enquiries, contact Dr Peter Dwyer, Head of Higher Education at pdwyer@ruskin.ac.uk or Tel: Main +44 (01865) 759600
