The government added a new clause to its current Care Bill in the House of Lords, that would make it easier to close wards or even entire hospitals.
UNISON has been opposing this element of the Bill since it was introduced last year, but with the Bill now in its Committee Stage in the House of Commons there are only a few weeks left to stop this becoming law.
