Nomination period opens for SGE by-elections

Due to resignations, by-elections will be held for two seats on the service group executive.

The vacancies are for a local government East Midlands reserved seat, and a police & justice Scotland general seat.

The nomination period will open on 13 May and close at 5pm on Friday 14 June 2013.

Election procedures and forms, for use by all nominating bodies and prospective candidates are available at resources on the elections page.

Branches should ensure that the names of the branch chairperson and secretary are current and up to date on the RMS. This is because nominations will only be accepted if they are authorised by the branch secretary and branch chairperson, and these names must correspond with that recorded on the RMS.
