Local government Pay Matters members’ survey 2013 (England, Wales and Northern Ireland)

Local government Pay Matters members’ survey 2013 (England, Wales and Northern Ireland)

We have launched an online survey as part of the local government Pay Matters campaign in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (pay negotiations are separate in Scotland).

The survey can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3Z9JRWN

It is vital that we get as local government many members as possible in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to complete the survey. Please circulate the link ablove to members by as many means as possible and urge them to complete the survey.

We are using the survey to find out what effect the pay freeze has had on local government wortkers in relation to their:

  • pay and conditions;
  • workload pressure;
  • financial situation and concerns.

This will help us strengthen our negotiations with the employer and support our case for a decent pay rise in the press and media.

It is crucial that, where possible, branches make arrangements for frontline local government members without internet facilities to complete the survey – by using a PC in the branch office for example.

The survey ends on Friday 8 February. For more information on the survey and our Pay Matters campaign please refer to our latest branch circular (LG/4/2013). Fill in the survey now
