UNISON has won voluntary recognition at First Wessex, a Hampshire-based housing association employing approximately 1,000 staff.
First Wessex balloted all staff on whether they wished to de-recognise both UNISON and the GMB.
UNISON produced literature supportive of recognition, which was issued with the ballot papers, while local stewards Tara Imber, Vicky Higgins, Wendy Lamont and Stuart Mills conducted workplace roadshows, explaining the ballot and promoting the union.
