UNISON, the UK’s largest union, today called for patients to be front and centre of any rescue package for Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust, as the health regulator, Monitor, announced that it was working on a long-term plan for the hospital.
The union welcomed the real progress that has been made at the trust over recent years – and thanked hospital staff for making the improvements happen.
