The ballot on the proposals for the Local Government Pension Scheme for members in England and Wales opens tomorrow and runs from 31 July to 24 August – and there is plenty of material to encourage members to vote.
‘Yes’ materials have been sent to branches in the four service groups that have made a ‘yes’ recommendation. These are also available to order – stock no 3161 for the A4 poster, and stock no 3160 for the leaflet.
There are also posters in the August issue of InFocus (again for readers in England and Wales), which should have just landed on your doormat.
‘No’ materials for the higher education service group have been sent to branches and can also be found online.
These are available in English and bilingual (Welsh-English) versions.
You can find resources and factsheets by clicking here.
Also available are copies of LGA: The LGPS 2014. A guide to the proposals.
This 42-page A4 guide provides detailed guidance to the proposals for a new LGPS pension scheme. A joint publication, produced by the Local Government Association, with UNISON, UNITE and the GMB, it is now available to order as stock no 3164.
