UNISON is set to ballot its 1,000 members in the Principal Civil Service
Pension Scheme (PCSPS) over the Government’s proposals for a new pension
scheme.
The ballot will begin on the 3rd April and close on 24 April. Those balloted
include a broad range of scheme members including Ofsted inspectors, police
ombudsmen in Northern Ireland, Welsh Government workers representing
children in court and in regeneration and sustainability, Innovation officers in
education in Scotland as well as meat hygiene inspectors across the UK.
Members will be asked if they want to accept or reject the proposed pension
proposals that UNISON believes are the best that can be achieved through
negotiations.
