Responding to the BMAs and the RCNs call for the government to reconsider its
pension reforms, UNISONs head of health, Christina McAnea said:
“The BMA vote and RCN statement show the strength of feeling throughout the
health service about the governments pension reform plans.
“Talks to finalise the detail of the agreement are continuing. When these talks
are concluded, the final offer will be put to members.
“Our strike ballot remains live so that we can take further industrial action if
members reject the final agreement.”
