Commenting on the rise in unemployment, by more than 80,000 in the three months to June, Dave Prentis, UNISON General Secretary, said:
“This government’s economic policies are not working. Millions are suffering because of the hard and fast cuts that are choking off the growth we need to recover. There are alternatives – it is time for a plan B that includes taxing the bankers who caused this crisis.”
