The interim report from the Social Work Task Force* is an important
milestone towards forging a more coherent direction for social work, said
UNISON, the union representing 40,000 social workers, today (29 July).
Welcoming the comprehensive analysis into the problems facing the social
work service, and the recommendations outlined for future work, Helga Pile,
UNISON National Officer for Social Workers, said:
