CHRISTMAS JOB CUTS AT AMBER VALLEY BOROUGH COUNCIL:”They Sat on Hands and Services Will Suffer”

UNISON, representing 45 staff being made redundant this Christmas, have accused Amber Valley Borough Council of failing to prevent the job cuts. The union is angered by Council statements that the current economic climate is to blame, as a council report way back in September 2007 warned of potential budget pressures. A total of 76 posts are being cut from the Council structures.
