UNISON, the UK’s largest health union, today slammed
compulsory redundancy notices issued to 33 members of staff at
Ormskirk and Southport Hospitals Trust.
The redundancies come in the wake of an announcement by the
Trust that it is handing over one of the hospital’s own wards to
BUPA, to run as an Independent Sector Treatment Centre (ISTC).
