UNISON to mount legal challenge over Local Government Pension Scheme chanhes

UNISON is examining the legal implications of the detrimental changes to the Local Government Pension Scheme announced by the Deputy Prime Minister.

Changes to the Local Government Pension Scheme include the removal of the rule of 85, which allows scheme members to retire at 60 on an unreduced pension if their age and years of service equal 85.
