“Treat all pensions the same” UNISON tells Local Government Association

UNISON demands that members of the Local Government Pension Scheme be treated the same as other public sector workers.

Heather Wakefield, UNISON Head of Local Government, today said members of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) should not be treated as the poor relation in the public sector.

Joining a group of UNISON members protesting about changes to their pensions outside the Local Government Association offices, Heather Wakefield said:
