7m days unpaid overtime worked in local government

Local government employees worked the equivalent of 7 million

days overtime last year for no pay or time off in lieu, UNISON has

calculated.

The survey of almost 4,000 UNISON members working in local

government conducted by MORI, found that 33% say they work

unpaid overtime each week
