UNISON, the largest union for school support staff, today welcomed the start of Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time as an opportunity for school support staff to play a greater role in delivering education.
From 1 September 2005 teachers will have guaranteed time in the timetable to plan, prepare and mark pupils work.

“The introduction of Planning, Preparation and Assessment time gives schools the opportunity to use our members knowledge, skills and experience and for support staff to play a greater role in delivering education.
