White Ribbon Day

UNISON General Secretary, Dave Prentis, has asked MPs to wear white ribbons tomorrow (25 November) to support the UN-designated International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

The ribbon is the internationally-recognised symbol of hope for a world where women and children can live free from the fear of violence. Wearing it challenges the acceptability of violence and states that the wearer will not commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women.
