UNISON General Secretary Dave Prentis has written to Foreign Secretary Jack Straw and Defence Secretary Geoff Hoon to protest at US attacks on medical facilities in the assault on Falluja and to call for an immediate and
independent investigation into the action. The Government, he said, should insist that such actions should not be repeated.
UNISON, he said, is deeply concerned at reports that US forces had bombed a medical clinic, fired on an ambulance and seized control of an Iraqi hospital with the reported deaths of medical staff. In the letter he writes:
