UNISON delegates from across the UK have voted overwhelmingly to recommend a yes vote, in a ballot of all health members on a new pay and conditions package – Agenda for Change.
The decision was made at a special health conference in London today (Thursday). UNISON will ballot its 450,000 health members on the proposals – the biggest shake up of pay and conditions, affecting one million staff, since the NHS was created. If adopted, it will introduce new pay bands and harmonised terms and conditions for NHS workers.
