UNISON General Secretary Dave Prentis has written to works and pensions minister Alan Johnson, urging him to extend to local government plans to increase the level of member trustees to 50% of pension fund boards. The Minister announced the initiative last week, thus delivering on a commitment given to UNISON and other unions at the Labour Party policy forum in July.
