UNISON General Secretary, Dave Prentis, has joined the Show Racism the Red Card Hall of Fame along with top footballers, inc luding Rio Ferdinand and Thierry Henri.
The awards, presented yesterday at Coutts Bank in London, are designed to recognise the contribution of time and commitment given to the anti-racist charity Show Racism the Red Card.
UNISON helped establish the charity in January 1996 and has been a keen supporter in pushing the anti-racist message throughout the sport and in schools. The campaign has attracted hundreds of footballers to assist in combatting racism on the terraces through education programmes, videos and events.
