UNISON, the UK’s largest union, is sending a 30 strong delegation to the Women’s TUC in Eastbourne this week ( March 10 – 12). The delegation is lead by UNISON vice-president Pauline Thorne and contains representatives from every part of the UK – from Scotland to Cornwall, and from Wales to Northern Ireland.
The union will be asking the TUC for support for a motion which aims to tackle the discrimination faced by low paid term-time workers – 90% of whom are women.
