Police and Justice Activists have spent five long years in the trenches fighting against the effects of austerity and the government’s ideological attack on public services. The outcome of the 2015 General election means that this program will continue with enthusiasm. More and more is being put onto already hard pressed activists who are feeling the strain. It is therefore important that the SGE seek information about what support is available to activists who are feeling the stress.
Conference calls on the Service Group Executive to:
1)seek out available support and to publicise and relevant information to branches;
2)where support does not exist, to seek advice and support of the appropriate organs of the union in achieving this aim.
