With regard to the 25 per cent discount enjoyed by people in single occupancy, Conference feels that this discount should also apply to retired couples.
It is extremely unfair and discriminatory for this government to be so single-minded. This situation needs to be rectified.
Conference therefore asks that the National Retired Members’ Committee make branches aware of the issues and seeks their support for a national campaign on our behalf.
