West Midlands Regional Disabled Self-Organised Forum notes that with the further provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act coming into effect on the 4 December 2006 instructs the National Disabled Members Committee to work with both National and Regional Unison Education Officers to produce and provide a specialised training programme for Lay Activists and Staff in respect of the provisions of the DDA 2005.
With such training to commence prior to December 2006 and in addition instruct the National Disabled Members Committee to produce a tool kit for all Branch disabled Self-Organised groups and Equality/Disabled Members Officers to enable Branches to implement the DDA in full. The tool kit to be produced and made available to all by January 2007.
