There have been a number of examples where management at Trust level have sought to undermine the “Partnership” arrangements for the implementation of AfC. This has led to a number of Staff Sides being excluded from negotiations on implementation of AfC. There have also been a number of examples where Trust’s have refused to implement nationally agreed profiles. It is clear that many management see AfC as an opportunity to undermine established terms and conditions.
In such circumstances we call on the SGE to:
1.Give full support to any branches dealing with uncooperative management;
2.To support legal industrial action where necessary;
3.To raise at the Staff Council such examples, and to make it clear that unless the management of these “rouge” Trusts are brought into line that UNISON will withdraw its co-operation at national level with the further implementation of AfC.
