Self Harm

2003 National Women's Conference
Date
23 October 2002
Decision
Carried

Conference welcomes the work done regarding Work Life Balance, however we believe issues affecting young women still need to be addressed. Many young women struggle to cope with the pressures of work and also family life. Stress affects people in many different ways. Some young women may turn to drink, drugs or even self harm. This Conference therefore agrees to ask the National Women’s Committee to provide advice on how branches can help and support their young women members suffering these problems and provide details of support groups in the regions to be passed on to branches and women’s networks.
