This Conference notes the continuing debacle whereby the majority of Council’s have failed to implement Single Status:
1)That Job Evaluations under the National or London Schemes have not been carried out. Our members continue to be paid with out of date grades and job descriptions. That there is no prospect of equal pay issues, particularly surrounding bonus payments being resolved under The Single Status Agreement.
2)That branches are being left to deal with Single Status and fight alone.
3)That the central problem continues to be lack of funding.
This Conference agrees that the union must mount an immediate campaign to:
a)Secure funding for councils so that single status can be implemented.
b)Ensure that single status is implemented.
