UNISON is committed to calling for a joint position to bring in fully funded national bargaining within the further education sector. A national bargaining body would bring further education in line with how pay is negotiated in schools and higher education – while some employers will negotiate locally with unions, others implement pay offers with no negotiation as it is ultimately at the discretion of the employer.
