The course is appropriate for LGBT branch officers or contacts and for UNISON LGBT members who want to find out more about getting active in the branch and LGBT organisation in UNISON.
The course aims to:
- define the role of a LGBT Branch officer or contact;
- establish how to access resources, make useful links and develop strategies for supporting LGBT members in their branches;
- consider how to campaign and get equality issues on the recruitment and bargaining agenda.
