The annual seminar for branch international relations officers (BIROs) to discuss implementing UNISON international policies as well as receive training.
UNISON’s annual international seminar event is for branch international relations officers (BIROs) and others to discuss implementing UNISON international policies as well as undertake training.
The international seminar is a great opportunity to discuss implementing UNISON international policies in your branch or region and to network with other international officers and those interested in international work. There are also opportunities to receive training to assist with undertaking the role of BIRO.
The draft programme for the seminar seeks to look at modern slavery including exploitation in global supply chains, Latin America, Palestine, Turkey, as well as training and advice on the activities and the role of the BIRO.
We will be holding a film screening in the hotel as the Saturday evening entertainment for the seminar.
Registration is open to UNISON branch international officers and regional delegates. We are also encouraging, women, young and Black members to ask their branch to nominate them. Please see the registration form for more details on this.
Registration forms are also available to download via the links at the bottom of this page.
Please note this is a member-only event and registration is required. The registration deadline is Friday 28 February, but places are limited so please complete the registration form as soon as possible.
Please contact Luke Ruby at L.Ruby@unison.co.uk for more information.
