2024 Health and Safety Seminar Feedback Form

Violence at Work is a serious problem across public services. It is consistently raised by UNISON members as one of their greatest concerns at work. Incidents include workers being threatened, punched, pushed and kicked while carrying out their jobs.

Our members suffer acts of assault, aggression and verbal abuse on a regular basis, worryingly it is seen by many, as a routine part of a working life. UNISON reps in the sector tell us they are seeing more and more examples of violence against members who are simply doing their jobs. Systemic failings such as chronic underfunding of our public services, unsafe staffing levels and cuts to real terms Pay and terms & conditions all contribute to our members increasingly being exposed and at risk.

If you are interested in engaging more on this issue and other important health and safety matters, then please consider registering to participate in this seminar,

In the meantime, check out our ‘End Violence at Work’ campaign Charter and start the conversation with your employer.
