27 January 2021 5:00pm–6:00pm
Although the government finally agreed to close most schools to all except vulnerable and key workers’ children during the lockdown period, UNISON is still calling on ministers to introduce further measures that will safeguard our members.
Support staff still face a lot of uncertainty and have many questions that the government has not answered, particularly for those working in early years and special schools.
We believe it is essential that our members know their rights and the guidance that is available to help them during this lockdown period and beyond.
We will hold our first mass meeting for schools and early years members in England on Wednesday 27 January at 5pm.
The chair of the schools committee and officers from the education and children’s services team will talk through UNISON’s recent work to support schools, special schools and early years staff during the pandemic and answer your questions.
Click the link below on 27 January at 5pm to join the meeting.
Please note: If you’re joining on your phone/tablet you may need to download the free Teams app when prompted. If you’re joining from a laptop/desktop you will be able to join directly via your browser.
We look forward to seeing you!

Devolution means that the situation varies in the different nations within the UK and therefore this meeting will be focussed on members in England. Please visit UNISON’s websites for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland for further updates and advice on regulations in these countries.
