Schools and early years member meeting (England)

24 February 2021 5:00pm

On Monday 22 February the government will officially announce its decision on reopening schools to all pupils as part of its roadmap out of lockdown. Reports state that ministers plan to reopen schools in England to all pupils from 8 March.

UNISON members have continued to work with children in schools, special schools, alternative provision and early years settings throughout the pandemic. We believe it is essential that you know your rights and the guidance that is available to help you during this period.

We will hold an emergency meeting for schools and early years members in England on Wednesday 24 February at 5pm.

If you need a BSL interpreter for this event, please contact us as soon as possible by emailing n.ntim@unison.co.uk.

The chair of the schools committee and officers from the education and children’s services team will be there to talk through the government’s announcement on schools and what this means for members. They will also talk through UNISON’s recent work to support all schools and early years staff during the pandemic and answer your questions.
