Every International Women’s Day, all of us – women and men together – celebrate women’s history and recognise our global struggles. And we commit to keep working together to win.
The global theme for IWD 2021 is #ChooseToChallenge, and that’s exactly what one million working women do every day through UNISON.
Together, we take our place at the table, challenge the status quo and secure change that improves all of our lives.

What do you #ChooseToChallenge? Perhaps you challenge why the home schooling burden has fallen largely to women? Inflexible working that doesn’t take account of managing caring responsibilities? Workplace policies that make the menopause more difficult to manage, or our stubborn gender pay gap? Or any number of other issues that you’re working in UNISON to improve.
