The course will help you to:

  • understand the role of a ULR;
  • promote lifelong learning in UNISON and in the workplace;
  • investigate the learning needs of people in a place of employment;
  • find and assess information on education and training opportunities;
  • work with employers and the UNISON Branch to promote lifelong learning Offer support to other learners;
  • understand effective ways of assessing learning needs
  • gain practice in planning and negotiating for learning activity in the workplace;
  • understand the main elements of learning agreements.

 

How the course will work

The course involves group work and discussion and is a good opportunity to network and share ideas and experiences.
