Helping identify the factors which prevent effective action being taken to tackle racism in the workplace

The course will help you to:

  • raise awareness of equality issues;
  • identify factors which prevent effective action being taken to tackle racism in the workplace;
  • identify how to overcome those factors;
  • reflect on the pressures and influences operating in the workplace which affect how reps and members approach discrimination cases;
  • gain an understanding of the relevant legisation;
  • consider different approaches to tackling discrimination;
  • develop action plans to put forward at branch level to take forward the main issues identified during the course.

 

How the course will work

The course involves group work and discussion. It is also a good opportunity to network and share ideas and experiences.
