Virtual Conference
UNISON’s Higher Education Service Group Executive Committee has agreed to hold a Virtual Higher Education Service Group Conference on Tuesday 22nd February 2022.
UNISON’S HIGHER EDUCATION CONFERENCE WILL NOW BE HELD AS A VIRTUAL CONFERENCE
Further to consultation with the Service Group Committee and following the recently updated COVID-19 restrictions and the uncertainty attached to the spread of the Omicron variant, the decision has been taken to transfer UNISON’s HE Conference 2022 to a virtual platform. The decision has been taken to support branches, give them certainty in these times and to protect our activist’s health, safety, and wellbeing.

Annual reportThe Annual Report is a summary of work undertaken by the National Higher Education Service Group (HESGE)
Committee. If your region or branch wishes to raise questions on the Annual Report, please do so in writing by 12pm on Tuesday 15th February. All questions on the Annual Report should be sent to Ruth Levin via email r.levin@unison.co.uk clearly indicating that they are “Questions on the HESGE Annual Report” in the subject box. Please also clearly indicate the section, paragraph, and page number.

We have now opened the Online Conferencing System (OCS) to allow branches to register delegates and submit motions in line with the rule-book requirements.
Please note the deadline to submit motions on OCS is 12.00 noon on Thursday 14th October 2021.
UNISON’s Higher Education Service Group Conference takes place over one day. All delegates and visitors may attend all sessions of conference but voting on motions is restricted to delegates only. Delegates should attend all sessions of Conference.
The conference bulletin will have further information on motion submission from the SOC and submission deadlines.
Delegates should contact their branch to be registered through the OCS.
