The National Health and Safety Committee took the difficult decision to postpone the event form its original date 8 March 2022 in response to the on-going COVID-19 situation which continues to affect public services and pressures on our members who deliver them.
As always this is a very popular event, whilst some public health measures have been removed across the UK, as members and activists are playing a pivotal role in tackling the crisis and to protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of those in attendance, we will be maintaining some mitigations to reduce the risks of transmission, this has resulted in the number of places for the event being limited.
All places have now been allocated
Registrations have now reached the maximum event numbers.
Branches still seeking to register new delegates will need to continue to do so via the OCS and will be added to a reserve list with the delegation “awaiting approval”.
Should any places become available after the cancelation deadline of 13 May. We will then be contacting those on the list to offer a place on Monday 16 May.
It is important that those on the reserve list ensure the branch has discussed with their employer the requirement for time off in advance, explaining that they are on a reserve list and be able to confirm this after 16 May.
(When registering a delegation, the Branch will be agreeing to the £125 cost of each delegate being recovered directly via branch funding payments.)
Accommodation and transport must be arranged by the Branch separately.

Delegate registrations requests for reserve places will close at 11.59 on Tuesday 3 May 2022
Amending a delegation
Changes to names of delegations via OCS can be done from 12.00am Wednesday 3 May until 11.59 pm Thursday 19 May 2022.
After this date any change of names will need to be made at the event registration before the beginning of the first workshop session when the registration desk will then close.
Deadline for cancelling any delegation is 5pm Friday 13 May 2022.
Branches wishing to do so should email healthandsafety@unison.co.uk with their request.
Due to contractual costs with the venue being incurred, any cancelation after this date will be treated in the same way as no attendance and branches will still be charged the full delegate rate.
