UNISON wants to know how new digital technologies are affecting members and their workplaces.
AI and other new technologies are being introduced at a rapid rate to organisations across the UK. Many workers, including UNISON members, are experiencing changes to their jobs, work and workplaces as a direct result of new technology.
As digitalisation programmes roll out across public services, this is only going to increase.
To fight for our members and protect the worker interest in this technological revolution, UNISON needs to know how AI is affecting the people already experiencing it.
If new digital technologies are being introduced in your organisation or considered by your employer, UNISON wants to know.

- What new technologies are being used (including brand names where applicable)
- What sort of trade union or worker consultation – if any – is being carried out when new tech is implemented
- How new tech has affected members’ experience of work, job roles and descriptions, and rights at work
- If workers believe the technology is fulfilling the purpose it was introduced for (e.g. efficiency, reducing admin)
And anything else you would like to let your union know about new technology at work.
