About this job

We are looking for two local organisers (one based in our Beds and Herts team and one based in our Essex team) to work on regional projects recruiting new members, motivating them to take an active role in our campaigns, and identifying new activists.

The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills in one-to-one communications, recruitment, organising and campaigning. Previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a trade union or community organisation would also be desirable. You will also need to demonstrate and knowledge of trade unionism and our union’s values.

You will need to be prepared to travel within the region as required including to our regional offices in Bury St Edmunds and Chelmsford and to London on an occasional basis for training or other purposes. Public transport links in the Eastern Region are poor. Having access to a car would be beneficial.
