About this job

You will have experience in processing financial transactions, reconciling bank accounts including direct debits, managing petty cash, foreign currency and ensuring accurate bookkeeping is undertaken.  

You will be responsible for processing high volumes of financial transactions using the IT software provided and have a methodical approach to work with attention to detail.  

You will be responsible for ensuring that ledgers are accurate and always kept up to date and be adept at providing timely financial information to a high standard across a multi-complex political organisation. 

You will need to be fully competent in using accounting software packages and Microsoft Office applications, e.g. Excel, Word, etc.  

Good general level of education, including GCSE (A-C) in Maths and English. 

You will need to have the ability to work unsupervised, within a small team, and have a willingness to help others at times of high workload. 

Within the post, there is scope to assist in other areas of the Finance Operations team, including Third Party Payments and Rule Book Benefits. 

The appointment will be on a full-time basis permanent basis (subject to a six-month probationary period) and is based at the Head Office in central London.  In return, the successful candidate will receive a competitive salary based on the current pay and grade structure, 32 days annual leave and benefits of a final salary pension plan as well as flexible working options.
