This is an exciting opportunity to shape how UNISON communicates across one of the largest and most diverse regions in the union. 

As Regional Media and Digital Communications Officer, you will work closely with the Regional Management Team and organising teams to deliver high-impact communications that support our organising, bargaining and campaigning objectives. 

Key areas of work include: 

  • Delivering proactive media relations and responding to press enquiries 
  • Developing digital content to support campaigns and grow member engagement 
  • Leading communications strategies for regional and local campaigns 
  • Supporting branches and activists to improve their own communications 
  • Promoting UNISON’s key equality and public service campaigns across digital and traditional media 

You’ll bring excellent copywriting, strategic communications and digital skills, as well as a strong understanding of the trade union movement and equality issues.
