The Head of IT Support is responsible for UNISON’s entire technology infrastructure, and provision of systems and services to all our staff, members and lay officers.
High-quality customer service to all our users is central to this role. To this end, you will ensure UNISON’s IT infrastructure is reliable and secure; that systems are modern and effective; and that we embrace innovation, taking advantage of new developments to further the union’s objectives.
The Head of IT Support controls a substantial budget (£10m), and needs to balance providing the best technological solutions for UNISON while ensuring members’ money is spent wisely for their benefit.
A team of in-house IT management and support staff will report to you. You will also manage our IT Managed Service provider, and direct relationships with suppliers of other IT services.
