UNISON is looking for enthusiastic, flexible and resourceful individuals to support our organising objectives to recruit, support and train new workplace representatives, deliver our on our key equality campaigns and grow UNISON membership.
The Branch Support & Organising Fund Area Organiser is an exciting role designed to take UNISON’s organising objectives forward across the region. The role will have a varied number of strategic projects working as part of a regional team. Projects include organising across Multi-Academy School Trusts, campaigning for the rights of migrant workers, identifying and mentoring workplace leaders and developing organising campaigns to recruit new members to UNISON.
The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills in one-to-one communications, recruitment, organising and campaigning. To undertake this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of the Trade Union and Labour movement and UNISON in the South East Region in particular. previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a trade union setting or within a similar organisation would also be desirable. You will need to be able to travel within the South East Region and London as required.
