You need to be an enthusiastic, flexible and resourceful individual to support our growing organisation. The Administrator will provide a range of administrative and organising support across a number of functions supporting Organisers, undertaking a wide range of duties including maintaining diary management, producing and maintaining project plans and databases, co-ordination of meetings, activist training and events. You will need to be able to use UNISON’s IT applications and relevant office equipment. An important part of the role will be liaison with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally and including UNISON members and other external parties, such as Employers and contractors.
You will need to be IT proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other software packages, accurately touch typing at speed and help to maintain databases including our case management records.
For this role, you do not have to have a trade union background, but you do need to have an understanding and sympathy with the aims and values of the trade union movement.
