Unison Centre – Administrator – Local Government, Police & Justice

We are looking for a person with initiative, excellent communication and administrative skills and IT experience and expertise, including social media, to work in UNISON’s Local Government, Police and Justice Section, primarily working on Police & Justice.

About this job

The Local Government, Police and Justice Section deals with UNISON’s work in councils, other local government employers, police forces and probation services. The Administrator will provide a range of administrative support across all areas of the section.

Skills/experience required:

  • team player with experience of showing initiative and multi-tasking in a pressurised environment
  • good communication and time management skills
  • proven administrative and secretarial skills
  • experience and expertise in using office equipment/systems and a full range of IT and digital packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • social media skills
  • administration of committees/meetings and seminars
